Does the conversion of hemp into product happen in CO, OR or TX?
Our suppliers’ source raw materials in OR and CO. Manufacturing is done in either TX or CO based on raw materials needs and product being created.
The primary extraction methods are CO2 but Ethanol is also used depending on the product utilization.
Manufacturing occurs in Texas and Colorado utilizing industry best practices and standards, and often specialize based on formulation and what we are trying to create as an industry finest product.
Your price is more expensive than competing products. Though, I’m not sure I have a strict apples to apples comparison and I respect that excellent product has significant costs.
The Maximum Strength model we use provides users the ability to get a very strong Full Spectrum profile of cannabinoids. Let me go into a little detail here. There are 3 types of products; isolate, broad spectrum and full spectrum
Isolate products are 100% CBD only. This is a method that extracts all the cannabinoids from the plant except CBD and isolates the CBD. It is popular for those who want a guaranteed 0.0% THC product. The downside is the minimal effectiveness. Cannabis Sativa has over 120 cannabinoids and they react with one another to combine strengths and effectiveness. Isolate products do not allow for the interaction of these cannabinoids.
Broad Spectrum Products. This is an extraction method that strips the THC content (primarily Delta 9 which is the source of psychoactive components of marijuana). Broad spectrum is a process that began several years ago. The primary aim is to produce the full entourage effect of all the cannabinoids while eliminating THC. Results vary based on extraction method.
Full Spectrum Products. TOML has chosen to use full spectrum products. What this means is that we start our process with a full cannabinoid profile and then cut the THC contents through blending methods to below the .3% Federal legal limit. Detection is done via one of two testing methods Level of Detection (LOD) or Limit of Quantitation (LOQ). In order for products to transmit between states the level of material (raw or refined) must be below .3% THC or we have trafficked illegal substances and are subject to the full weight of federal penalties and laws. We take this very seriously. The reason for full spectrum is currently this process produces the purest and most natural product with the best results and cannabinoid profile.
Once you have product refined now the process of establishing the MG per dosage is created in the development of product. Many products in the market place stay between 50-500MG of CBD per 1 oz bottle.
What this means is that the entire bottle contains the MG amount, not per serving.
A 50MG 1 oz bottle has a serving size of 1.6 mg of CBD per mg serving
A 500mg bottle contains 16.6 mg of CBD per serving. These products can range between $30 to $150.
Our products begin at 1500mg providing 50mg of CBD per serving and allowing for customizations by users to range from 12.5mg, 25mg, 37.5mg to determine the appropriate personalized amount.
The reason we choose the higher concentrations are twofold.
The source of the raw material is stronger, your refining from a larger profile and creating an excellent multi-cannabinoid product.
Cannabidiol is a very personal utilization. Each individuals Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is different. One person may only need 25 mg of CBD a day another may need 150 mg to find homeostasis or the level set for the system. At 3000mg our product allows the customer to find the perfect balance for them and their system. Using a quarter of the dropper provides a starting point of 25 mg than can be increased to 100 mg as needed. If the customer finds 25mg is the right dosage our product at the regular price of $129.99 will last 4 months which equates to $32 per month. This is really about helping the user find the best level for their body. If you don’t have the ability to adjust dosages up or down the product is impersonal and never provides the best use scenario.
Does TOML have any participation with a CBD standards organization?
The short answer is there really are not any recognized standards organizations because the USDA and FDA haven’t set the standards.
What has happened is different “interested parties” have created pseudoorganizations to advertise standards and market themselves. Those standards are the ones they created through a non-profit or lobbying entity to generate reforms.
Are we connected to those organizations, Yes.
Do our suppliers manage relationships with those organizations, Yes.
Most are state by state entities with no national influence on product or product standards. For instance, Texas has the Texas Industrial Hemp Association and we are directly connected with them.
Thank you for your interest in our products. We are committed to providing the safest, highest quality federally legal products to our customers.
